On September 22nd, the online meeting on the theme of International Students’ Management during the COVID-19 Outbreak was held at Guizhou University.
About 12 participants from Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Japan and the United States attended the online meeting, and over 30 attendees from 10 universities and institutes also presented at the meeting, including Guizhou University, Guizhou Normal University, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, Guizhou Education University, Guizhou Institute of Technology, Guiyang College, Zunyi Medical University, Guizhou Communication Vocational College and Qiannan Normal University of Nationalities.
Mr. Chen Wenyi, Deputy Director of the Office of the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of CAECW, and Prof. Wu Pan, vice president of Guizhou University made speeches separately at the meeting. The webinar was hosted by Prof. Hong Yun, Director of the Office of International Relations, GZU.
The meeting calls for collaboration among universities in the fight against the pandemic and shares experience on international students management during the pandemic. Six speakers including the vice president of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia, Prof Choong Chee Keong, vice president of Prince of Songkla University, Thailand, Prof. Thakerng Wongsirichot made separate report at the meeting,sharing experiences on psychological and material support, teaching arrangement and other relevant issues during the pandemic.
The webinar was listed as one of the online activities of 2020 China – ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, and hosted by Guizhou University and co-organized by the office of the secretariat of the organizing Committee of CAECW.
