Since 1998, Guizhou University has ever hosted or co-hosted over 10 international conferences, with themes covering aspects of global perspective in higher education, science, law and engineering.
    (1) Global Perspective in Higher Education International Conference 2004

Achievements:
    1. Since 2004, Suranare University of Technology and College of International Studies, GZU have started with a joint Ph.D program in linguistics.
    2. In 2005, West Chester University invited the art delegation of GZU to visit its university, expenses paid by WCU.
    3. In 2004, Tottori University invited 5 faculty and students of the Japanese language in College of International Studies to visit its university, expenses paid by TU.

    (2) The 2nd International Palaeontological Congress
    (IPC 2006)---Guizhou Field Study
    Hosted by: Palaeontology Research Institute of Guizhou University Rudkin David Murray)。
    Participants: 4 domestic representatives, 21 overseas representatives (among whom were Richard J. Aldridge, professor of Department of Geology, University of Leicester and Chairman of the International Paleaontology Association; Rudkin D. Murray, the curator of Department of Natural History, Royal Ontario Museum)
Achievements: communications conducted with well-known experts both at home and from abroad; the scientific research level improved and the international communication promoted.

    (3)  Global Perspective in Higher Education International Conference (Year 2007)
     Hosted by: Guizhou University, PRC; West Chester University, USA; Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific
Participants: about 50 representatives from abroad, and around 30 domestic representatives from education and business fields (among whom were deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of MOE, Vice President Zhang Chunlan of National Academy of Education Administration, President of University of Macau, Chairman of AUAP, Vice President of WCU, General Secretary Ruben Umaly of AUAP)
Achievements: established a platform for GZU faculty to communicate with experts from abroad and learn advanced experience. Exchange and communication agreements with overseas universities reached.
