On September 18th, a delegation headed by Ian Barnes, Head of International Partnerships visited Guizhou University for sino-foreign cooperation in education. The meeting was was held by Hong Yun, Director from Office of International Relations, and attended by representatives from Graduate School, Office of Financial Affairs, Office of International Relations, Office of Academic Affairs, and College of Liquor and Food Engineering.
Hong extended welcome to all delegates and gave a brief introduction to the cooperation between Guizhou University and University of Lincoln. She hoped that this visit would be a good opportunity to expand the cooperation between two sides.
Ian reviewed the history of cooperation between University of Lincoln and its Chinese partners, showing that he is full of confidence in cooperation with Guizhou University. Zhou Peng, Director of International of Lincoln University, gave detailed description about the graduate curriculum and master’s degree granting. He emphasized that Business and Engineering are the two dominant speciality in the University of Lincoln.
Both sides discussed the possible mode of Sino- foreign cooperative for running schools, such as “1+1+1” and “2+1”. Representatives from College of Liquor and Food Engineering, made a wish for academic exchange, student exchange and research collaboration with universities in Britain.
