Mr. R.S.Pawar, chairman and co-founder of NIIT, visited GZU in the afternoon of May 25, meeting with Li Jianjun, Part secretary of GZU, Xiang Shuwen, vice president of GZU, and representatives of University Office, Office of teaching affairs, Office of International Relations, College of History and Ethnic Culture, College of Big Data and Information Technology, College of Computer Science and Technology, Provincial Key Laboratory of Big Data, etc.
Li briefed Mr. R.S.Pawar the basic information about GZU, and its international exchanges and cooperation with hundreds of overseas universities and institutions. On scientific study, GZU has formed a great cooperative tie with Panjab University, visiting Calcutta to attend 2018 Chinese Higher Education Achievements and enrollment Expo at the invitation of Indian General Consulate in Calcutta, where bilateral cooperative intentions were achieved with such institutions as Calcutta Chinese School, Jakande Central University and International School of Chinese Studies at the University of the West Mon state.
Li added that NIIT is leading the world in skills and talents cultivation, providing multidisciplinary study management and training for companies, institutions and individuals in over 40 countries and regions. Mr. R.S.Pawar met Sun Zhigang, Party secretary of Guizhou province during last Big Data Expo, discussing matters on how NIIT could help Guizhou culture talents. Li hoped to find more cooperation potentials via today’s meeting.
Mr. R.S.Pawar briefed participants on NIIT and its business, adding that NIIT aims to improve students’ practice abilities when cooperating with Chinese universities and colleges. He hoped to cooperative with Guizhou province, since big data industry is a focus here, and relevant research institutes of GZU are readily found.
Further discussions on cooperation were carried out.
NIIT was found in 1981, an IT company headquartered in Madrid, providing training, education, software solutions and multimedia information technology.
