4^th China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Week Successfully Held in Guizhou

To promote the friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation in education and other fields, as well as regional cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN members, Ministry of Education of PRC.，and Guizhou Provincial Government decided to hold the 4^th China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation in Guiyang during August 16-20, 2011.

 

Since 2008, there have been three China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Weeks successfully organized in Guiyang . The 1^st “ China -ASEAN Educational Ministers’ Round Table Conference” was held during the 2010 China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Week. Those events helped to develop and strengthen the China-ASEAN practical cooperation in education exchange, to promote the cooperation between Guizhou and ASEAN members in the fields of education, humanity, as well as the social and economic exchanges. By imposing the influence of Guizhou on ASEAN region, they played a positive role in promoting the further internationalization of higher education in Guizhou

Sponsored by Ministry of Education of PRC. and Guizhou Provincial People's Government, the 4^th China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Week was organized by Guizhou Provincial Education Department, Guizhou Foreign Affairs Office, Guizhou University, Guizhou University for Nationalities, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, Guizhou Normal University and AUSF. The theme of this Week is “to develop a more practical and effective higher education cooperation, build a more open and creative platform for exchange and push forward Guizhou’s universities to take the lead in opening up”. The Week consists of 5 major activities, namely, the Opening Ceremony, China-ASEAN Universities’ International Communication Forum, China-ASEAN Cross-cultural Forum, Forum of China-ASEAN Cooperation among Governments, Industries and Universities, and China-ASEAN Youths’ Sports Festival.
